Leeds United: Laura Woods reacts to Gabby Agbonlahor relegation verdict after Leicester draw amid ‘hates Leeds’ dig
Gabby Agbonlahor believes Leeds United are getting relegated after drawing 1-1 with Leicester in a verdict Laura Woods tried to wind up fans with.
Jamie Vardy’s late equaliser at Elland Road on Tuesday night saw two points go begging following Luis Sinisterra’s opener, leaving the two sides separated by a point, but the the Whites have a difficult run in.
Woods tried to take advantage of Agbonlahor tipping the club to go down with Nottingham Forest and Southampton by suggesting the pundit hates Leeds and all their fans.

Speaking live on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (26 April, 8.14am) Woods asked: “Who’s your money on, if you really had to look at it Gabby?”
Agbonlahor answered: “I have Southampton bottom, then Forest, then Leeds. Because I just look at Leeds, the amount of goals they concede, 63 goals, no clean sheets since 25 February, it’s been 10 games.
“Their next game is Bournemouth away, they look strong now, they know one win and they could be safe. Then it’s Man City away, Newcastle home, West Ham away, Tottenham at home – that’s three points maybe because they’ll be on the beach probably – but you look at that I don’t think they’ll get enough points…
“I think Leicester’s fixtures are more favourable than Leeds, so I’d say Leeds are down with Forest and Southampton.”
In reaction Woods said: “He always seems to dig it in doesn’t he? It’s almost like he hates Leeds isn’t it?”
After the former Aston Villa striker said he’d met some nice Whites supporters on holiday she added sneakily: “You told me off air you hate all Leeds fans”.
Wind up
Agbonlahor likely didn’t say that although he wouldn’t be near the top of many Leeds supporters’ lists of top pundits, but after the run of results Javi Gracia’s side have been on it’s getting harder and harder to argue with his view.
If the Spaniard does manage to keep the club up somehow it is going to be against the odds now, after three demoralising defeats and a missed opportunity at home against a relegation rival.
The manager’s selection choices are coming in for fierce scrutiny now the results have dried up, and his future at Elland Road is surely now in doubt whether survival is secured or not.

He may point to a staggering late miss from Patrick Bamford to prove the win was still there for the taking, and the look in the English striker’s eyes when he scuffed the chance wide at the back post showed he knew that was true.
He should have scored but Leeds United staying in the Premier League should not come down to a missed opportunity late in a stressed and tense game in April, from a player who has missed so much action through injury.
Plenty of the players, managers, and members of the hierarchy are going to come out of this season carrying blame whatever the result, with fans clinging to hope that Agbonlahor’s predictions for the drop don’t come true.
