Leeds United injury news as Sam Byram update emerges – Phil Hay
Phil Hay has relayed the news that Leeds United defender Sam Byram has picked up an adductor strain in the 4-3 win at Ipswich Town.
Daniel Farke confirmed the news after his first Championship win in charge of the Whites at Portman Road on Saturday 26 August.
Byram has started every game apart from the first day of the season against Cardiff, but is now looking set for a spell on the sidelines, it seems.
He wrote: “Byram has an adductor strain.
“Will need assessing in terms of likely length of absence.”

Options.
Farke will be looking at his squad now and thinking whether he needs to add another full-back more urgently after this latest blow, with that area being looked at before this.
Byram has been very good since he was signed on a free transfer, but he has been plagued by injuries in his career, and it has unfortunately happened again.
Leeds urgently brought in Joel Piroe after it became very clear that a new striker was needed, and the same may now be said for that left-back spot in the back four.
This will be one to watch in the coming days but with a quick turnaround until Salford in the EFL Cup, we may not see another signing through the door to cover this.
Cody Drameh was brought on and then taken off in a brave call from Farke, with Jamie Shackleton also filling that role too at Portman Road.
This is a slight blow, but today will be remembered for three points and that sensational front four.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have now emerged as favourites to sign a Premier League player likened to Lionel Messi.
