Jack Harrison has said that “a lot” of Leeds United players are “very excited” about the prospect of Raphinha playing more football.
The winger has only made three cameo appearances so far this season but will be hoping to start against Arsenal after impressing in his 59 minutes of football for Leeds.
Talking to the BBC, Jack Harrison said that Raphinha was “very excited” to play for Leeds and that plenty of the players felt the same way about him.
“He’s fantastic,” said Harrison. “He doesn’t speak much English but he’s settled in well and everyone has been really impressed with him.
“He’s always got a smile on his face and he brings a great energy. Everyone’s been really impressed and he’s got a lot of quality.
“He’s very excited to play for us and a lot of the players on the team are saying the same thing.
“He’s going to be an exciting player for us.”
Time for Raphinha
We want Raphinha to start on Sunday.
He’s the third most expensive Leeds player of all time and we don’t believe he’s been bought to be an impact from the bench.
Players have to prove themselves to Marcelo Bielsa and even then they have to wait for an opportunity to start.
Bielsa is loyal to his players and it takes a lot for him to drop anyone who hasn’t shown bad form over a number of weeks.
But we’ve been excited by what we’ve seen from Raphinha. He was the only player that threatened to change the game in the second half of the 4-1 defeat to Crystal Palace.
His time has surely come and when he does start we think it could take a lot to shift him from the side.
