Leeds United: Ex-Champions League winner gets photo taken with Piroe post Oxford
Leeds United secured the three points against Oxford United on their road to promotion to the Premier League.
Manor Solomon scored a first-half goal to send the Whites back to the Championship with 91 points to their name.
Another win could theoretically be enough for them to clinch promotion if results elsewhere go in their favour.

Patrick Kluivert takes photo with Joel Piroe post game
Patrick Kluivert, currently the manager of the Indonesian national team, was at the Kassam Stadium on Friday to watch one of his players in action.
The one-time Champions League winner is also a former Netherlands international and will likely have been aware of Piroe’s exploits in the Championship.
He then clicked an image with the Dutch striker near the tunnel, but it’s still not clear who asked for it.
Smyth, a Yorkshire Evening Post journalist, wrote on X: “Just walked past Patrick Kluivert at the Kassam.
“Here to watch one of his Indonesia players. Believe he had a photo with Joel Piroe down near the tunnel.
“Not sure who asked for it.”
Leeds United right where they want to buy in promotion race
Leeds United’s 1-0 victory over Oxford United, driven by Solomon’s goal, has positioned them on the brink of Premier League promotion with just three Championship games remaining.
The Whites’ professional display showcased their attacking flair and defensive solidity, with Joe Rodon’s pinpoint pass and Jayden Bogle’s assist highlighting their incisive play, while Rodon’s outstanding defending ensured a 23rd clean sheet of the season.

Leeds’ 91 points and 83 goals – 20 more than any other Championship side – underline their dominance under Farke, who has amassed 181 points in 89 league games.
Needing only five points from their final three matches to secure promotion, or a win against Stoke City coupled with Sheffield United dropping points at Burnley, Leeds’ fate is firmly in their hands.
Their ability to overcome Oxford’s organised resistance, despite late pressure, demonstrated the steel and resilience Farke praised, contrasting with last season’s late collapse.
This well-balanced team, bolstered by Solomon’s loan impact, is poised to end their two-year top-flight exile.
