English media reacts to Tyler Adams performance as Leeds United ace plays in draw v USA

Tyler Adams played a major role for the USA on Friday 25 November 2022 as the Leeds United midfielder starred in his nation’s 0-0 draw with England at the FIFA World Cup.

The game leaves Group B wide open heading into the final matchday of the tournament’s group stage, with places in the next stage of the competition up for grabs.

Adams was a standout performer on the evening in what was a dull and lacklustre game, but what did the English media make of the Leeds United maestros outing?

The Independent believe the Leeds man bossed things in the centre of the park saying Adams “flourished in possession, recycling the ball and showing tenacity to outmuscle the likes of Mason Mount as England attempted to move up the pitch.”

The Times journalist Henry Winter named Adams as his man of the match, heaping praise on the American’s “superb” display.

The Guardian gave the American midfielder a solid 8/10 match rating describing him as a “controlled, efficient presence in a deep position. He passed well and made some important interceptions.”

The Express gave Adams a cool match rating of 7/10 for his tireless efforts against England.

Adams is starting to look like the real deal and anyone who doubted the American midfielder is looking away with a red face right now.

His mature performances for the United States in the FIFA World Cup have all but confirmed his status as a top midfielder in the modern game.

Hopefully, Adams can translate these mature performances for his country when he comes back to Elland Road, something he looks like he’ll definitely do.

You have to remember that the American is captaining his country in the FIFA World Cup too, another nod to his obvious class and poise on and off the pitch.

His tenacity to boss the engine room is now being watched all around the world and he’s starting to match this with technically sound performances too.

The sky is the limit for Adams, the only thing the Whites have to worry about is keeping onto him for as long as they possibly can.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are eyeing a major attacking transfer for a man who made headlines in Qatar on Friday.
