Leeds United: Dean Ashton wowed by what ‘undefendable’ Crysencio Summerville did v Huddersfield
Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville blew Dean Ashton away with an “undefendable” piece of skill in the Whites’ Championship showdown with Huddersfield Town.
The Whites were unable to get back to winning ways following their FA Cup defeat to Chelsea, only managing a 1-1 draw on Saturday (2 March) with Patrick Bamford’s second-half strike rescuing a crucial point.
While Summerville wasn’t able to add to his goal tally, he was still lively down both flanks and pulled off several impressive pieces of individual skill, including one to beat Brodie Spencer in the opening exchanges.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Saturday (2 March, 12:40) he said: “That’s pretty undefendable that from a Leeds perspective, it’s just played into Summerville and with one touch he span and he was away from Spencer.
“It was terrific pace of thought, speed of foot from Summerville and he’s going to make it a very, very difficult afternoon for Spencer I’m sure.”
Will Crysencio Summerville leave Leeds United during the summer transfer window?
Few players have been as consistent for Daniel Farke since he arrived at Leeds United than Summerville who has managed to go from strength to strength in a Whites shirt this season.
The Dutchman has developed his overall game massively at Elland Road this season, becoming a much more effective force in possession both as a creative player and an individual goal threat himself.

While he wasn’t at his best against the Terriers on Saturday, he still caused plenty of problems down both flanks with his explosive pace and magnificent skill that left both Huddersfield full-backs in his dust.
Farke’s style is all about quick counter-attacks and breaking pace on transition and without Summerville, that wouldn’t work. The Leeds boss and the Whites supporters will just be hoping that he remains a Leeds player for a while longer yet.
