Leeds United confirmed XI v Plymouth Argyle: Crysencio Summerville decision made

Daniel Farke has named his playing eleven as Leeds United take on Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup at Elland Road on Saturday, 27 January.

Despite starting the game against Norwich City and scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in the league this season, the Dutchman is absent from the matchday squad.

The German has opted to name Willy Gnonto on the left flank.

Win this

Farke has named a decent enough side that’s expected to go out and secure the win and progress into the next round of the FA Cup.

The jinx of being drawn away for over 10 games in a row has ended and surely the Elland Road faithful will be delighted to have an FA Cup game to witness.

This support is undoubtedly going to buoy the team and drive them forward and it goes without saying that the Whites are the overwhelming favourites.

Not having Summerville is obviously not ideal, but the rest of the Leeds attackers are capable enough of causing havoc in the final third.

Jaidon Anthony and Gnonto both will be looking to prove a point for the Whites and it’s hard not to see either of them not being involved in at least one goal.

It’s also much-needed rest for Junior Firpo who has been in terrific form since the turn of the year.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that the Whites are seriously considering acceptable offers for one player with a new signing on the cards.
