Leeds United confirm starting XI v Manchester City
Marcelo Bielsa has not made any changes to the Leeds United starting line-up ahead of their showdown with Manchester City at the Etihad on Tuesday night.
An hour ahead of kick-off, Leeds confirmed via their official Twitter account that the same side will line-up against Man City after losing to Chelsea 3-2 at the weekend.
Joe Gelhardt scored at Stamford Bridge but he’s failed to start and only makes the bench. Mateusz Klich is also on the bench as the only real senior player an option for Bielsa as a substitute.
Nothing to lose
If you’re expecting anything here at the Etihad tonight, then you need to have a word with yourself.
Man City are in stunning form, winning six Premier League matches on the trot while also dispatching Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League in recent weeks.
Pep Guardiola’s side are going to take some stopping if their march towards the Premier League title is going to be halted.

And a Leeds side that’s decimated by injuries, suffering from stuttering form and away from home are unlikely to provide much of a bump in the road for the Man City behemoth.
We’re trying to feel upbeat about this one. But with Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk, Patrick Bamford, Rodrigo and Robin Koch all missing, it feels as though the Whites have a mountain to climb.
We won here last season courtesy of an inspirational performance by Stuart Dallas. But the chances of repeating that when the squad is so thread bare are low.
We’ll definitely take a point. And if we’re honest, we’d take a loss by one goal.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay says the Whites intend to sign a midfielder in January after a major development on Monday.
