Leeds player ratings vs Wolves – Calvert-Lewin simply stunning, 4/10 woeful again

Leeds secured all three points away to Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

Leeds suffered a cruel 1-0 defeat to Fulham last time out, and had the perfect chance to bounce back from that with a clash against bottom-placed Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

Despite their poor start, Wolves were favourites to beat Leeds, and indeed took the lead inside seven minutes through Ladislav Krejci, who was left to roam through the middle by Sean Longstaff.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin got Leeds level with a superb headed effort after a spell of dominance from the visitors, not long before Anton Stach gave Leeds the lead from range.

Noah Okafor added a third, with the Whites going on to secure a huge 3-1 away win.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has arrived at Leeds

When Leeds signed Calvert-Lewin, there wasn’t a lot of optimism given his record at Everton in previous seasons.

However, those concerns were subdued when Calvert-Lewin headed Leeds level in the first half against Wolves, sparking an emphatic turnaround.

His hold-up play was superb, and he showcased all of the attributes that he has thrived in throughout his time in the Premier League.

If his performance against Wolves was a sign of things to come, then Leeds will not need to worry about their attacking concerns much longer.

Daniel Farke must stop Brenden Aaronson experiment

Brenden Aaronson was dreadful against Fulham, and yet Farke insists on playing him right-wing again for the clash with Wolves.

The German holds some of the blame, but Aaronson once again failed to offer anything for Leeds, despite their dominance.

Everything he tried was either safe or failed to come off, and was massively outdone by Noah Okafor on the opposite flank.

Farke is clearly a fan of his, but if he is going to play him, it cannot be on the wing ever again after another poor display.
