'Perfection' – Danny Mills blown away by one Leeds player in win v Huddersfield

When the ball was dropping to Ezgjan Alioski on the edge of the box, all Leeds fans will have crossed their fingers.

The Macedonian international couldn’t have hit the ball any sweeter and he smashed it into the bottom corner to send the travelling Whites fans wild.

It wasn’t just the fans who were blown away by the strike, as Danny Mills also took his chance to heap praise on the opening goal in the 2-0 victory.

The Sky Sports pundit praised the technique of the versatile winger, claiming that Leeds’ fresh ideas from corners are bringing a great amount of success.

“Brilliant volley,” he said on the live coverage on Sky Sports (07/12, 2:40 pm).

“He times it, absolutely to perfection. It comes out, he keeps his eye on it and it’s a great strike.”

It was Alioski’s third goal of the season, and he did a brilliant job to come in for Liam Cooper and have such an influence on the game.

We know it is important to share the goals around the team, and not ask for too much from Patrick Bamford. So, to see players like Alioski and Pablo Hernandez find the back of the net is big for Leeds.

And Mills was right to label Alioski’s strike as perfection – especially as Leeds fans are more used to the cheeky character smashing the ball into row Z when given an opportunity from distance.
