Leeds fans react to Casilla display v Barnsley
Leeds did what they had to do on Sunday and ended up back on top of the league after a 2-0 win.
They left it very late, though, with Eddie Nketiah proving to be the saviour from the bench once again.
He scored from an inch-perfect free-kick from Kalvin Phillips before winning the penalty that Mateusz Klich converted.
Leeds had Kiko Casilla to thank for keeping a clean sheet.
He made seven saves on Sunday, five classed as reflex saves, and also completed nine out of ten long passes. [WyScout]
It was enough for some fans to proclaim his as man-of-the-match, a far cry from when he was the villain of the piece in the second leg of our play-off semi-final against Derby last season.
He seems completely settled now and has to take a lot of credit for Leeds only conceding three goals in seven league games. Even if we do still struggle to convert chances, that’s Championship-winning form right there.
