
Leeds fans react to Alioski display
Ezgjan Alioski helped North Macedonia get a point from their Euro 2020 qualifier against Israel on Thursday night.
He whipped in a brilliant curling cross from a free-kick on the right-hand flank in the 64th minute which was headed in by Arijan Ademi.
Plenty of Leeds fans took to Twitter to ask why he couldn’t produce those sorts of crosses for Leeds, with some saying he couldn’t clear the first man at Elland Road.
Alioski has won his place back in the Leeds first team in recent weeks, after left-back Barry Douglas was injured. He’s unlikely to get many run-outs in more advanced positions this season, with Jack Harrison looking dangerous on the wing.
Douglas should be back for the Barnsley game, which will give Marcelo Bielsa a selection dilemma, but we expect that Douglas will come back in and Alioski will have to make do with the bench.
