'Absolutely terrifies defences' – Many Leeds fans loving cameo from rarely-seen youngster v QPR

Leeds were missing both left-backs for the game against QPR, with Ezgjan Alioski and Barry Douglas out.

Stuart Dallas seemed to line-up at left-back before moving immediately into midfield, with Jack Harrison being given the job of left wing-back.

He had a brilliant game and was replaced in the 84th minute by 19-year-old Leif Davis.

It was Davis’ first Championship appearance since the opening game of the season against Bristol City, but he had a start in the league against Aston Villa last season, and another four cameos in the 18/19 Championship.

Marcelo Bielsa is obviously a fan after being caught bellowing “Very good Davis!” repeatedly at the youngster in pre-season, something that’s now become a bit of a catchphrase with fans.

And Leeds fans were impressed with his short cameo on Saturday, as they saw him busting a gut up and down the left side, impressing in attack and defence. When your chances are limited, this is exactly what you’ve got to do to get noticed.

He certainly won’t have done his future chances any harm and with issues on the left-hand side, could see more action in the next game against Blackburn.

Some Leeds fans think he deserves a start with some even suggesting he’s the best left-back at the club at the moment.
