'Kill the game off' – Vinnie Jones predicts 'early doors' winner in Leeds v Newcastle clash
Vinnie Jones has backed Leeds United to bounce back and take all three points from the game against Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Leeds can move onto the same points as Newcastle with a win that will also halt a poor run that’s seen them lose the last two and win just one of the last six.
Writing in his regular column for EasyOdds Jones said, “Leeds had no answer to West Ham’s strength and resilience – Moyes’s team is tough-as-teak – but take Bielsa’s boys to bounce back at home to Newcastle.
“They can kill the game off early doors.”
Big win for Leeds
To be fair to Jones, he’s been backing Leeds in all of the recent games.

He predicted a win against West Ham and a win against Arsenal, among others, but we hope he has better luck this week.
Leeds have the backing of the bookies who have them down as odds-on for the win, with Newcastle as big as 4/1 for the win.
Given how Leeds have been performing recently, that price might tempt some fans into an emotional hedge for tonight’s game.
However, we think the Leeds players will know how important tonight is and they’ve had an extra day to recover ahead of this game.
That might not seem like much but Premier League players are starting to show fatigue – Frank Lampard admitted Chelsea were suffering last night – and fixtures are coming thick and fast now.
Added to that, the Newcastle players had their training disrupted after the big Covid-19 outbreak that saw their game against Aston Villa postponed.
Given all that, we think they’ll struggle tonight and we think Leeds will win. Killing the game off “early doors” would suit us down to the ground.
We’ve almost had our fill of drama for the season already.
