Karen Carney reacts to Leeds United defeat v Manchester City
Leeds United were in abysmal form as Manchester City tore them apart with a thumping 7-0 win in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Karen Carney has shared her instant reaction after the game. She delivered an honest verdict, saying the Whites were simply not good enough.
It was the heaviest defeat for Leeds in the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa, and truth to be bold, City could have had far more than their seven goals.

Carney said to Premier League Tv production:
“Bielsa has got a lot of thinking to do. They weren’t anywhere near to their best. But 7-0 is not good enough.”
Terrible
The defending champions were at their imperious best as they pulled off their biggest victory of the season. They move ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea.
It was a spectacle. Leeds were completely outclassed from the first whistle, and they just ran ragged Leeds defence. Such was their dominance.

The Whites could have done better in defending but that wouldn’t have made any difference to the scoreline.
Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Kevin de Bruyne scored for the home side in the first half. Riyad Mahrez, De Bruyne, John Stones and Nathan Ake added another four as City sealed all three points with ease.
They had 64% of possession, attempted 31 shots of which they managed to keep 15 on target. It was ruthless domination, but Leeds need to pick themselves up quickly.
They have some big games coming up, so the Whites need to stick to their game plan. The players need to cut down on individual errors as it gives undue advance to big teams.
Junior Firpo will miss the next game through suspension. Jamie Shackleton has also picked up an injury in the first half, as fans will hope that it’s not serious.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay says the Whites intend to sign a midfielder in January after a major development on Monday.
