Kalvin Phillips shares reaction after Leeds United win v Norwich

Kalvin Phillips has shared his reaction after Leeds United picked up a dramatic 2-1 win against Norwich on Sunday (13 March) at Elland Road.

Rodrigo opened the scoring for the Whites inside 15 minutes and it looked like the home side will finally end their six-game winless run.

The hopes were dampened when Norwich levelled through Kenny McLean at the start of injury time. However, deep in injury time, Joe Gelhardt scored to seal all three points.

Phillips wrote on Twitter: “Get in lads buzzing for the important 3 points. Buzzing for Joffy and Rodrigo.”

Crucial victory

There were plenty of positives from this game, apart from three points.

Patrick Bamford made his first start since September after he returned from a long-term injury.

Leeds are expected to improve once Phillips returns to the starting line-up, which seems not too far away.

The England midfielder has already returned to training but he lacks sharpness and match fitness.

It was an end to end open game, with both sides creating some good chances.

However, the Whites were really unlucky as Raphinha had hit the woodwork twice during the game.

Daniel James also missed some good chances to improve the scoreline.

It was also an impressive performance from Rodrigo who is now seen as an important leader of the side after Jesse Marsch held personal talks with him over his role.

In the end, it was a fair result. Leeds showed great intent in the final third, and a draw might have been harsh on them.
