Kalvin Phillips sends message ahead of Leeds clash v Wolves

Leeds United have been hit with the major blow that they shall be missing Kalvin Phillips once again in the Premier League clash with Wolves.

The Yorkshire Pirlo missed the 1-0 defeat against Southampton last week, despite travelling with the squad to St Mary’s.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that despite Phillips being healthy, he will be rested for an extra week to make sure of no setbacks.

Phillips has taken to his personal Instagram account ahead of the game this morning, and he looks ready to cheer on the lads again.

Sharing on his stories, the midfielder shared an image of the squad and a two-word message of motivation.

“Let’s go,” he said, tagging the Whites.

Shame.

We are still scratching our heads that Phillips won’t be involved.

The Yorkshire Pirlo has been classed as healthy, so surely there is no risk starting him in the base of the midfield.

Phillips is one of those players who you simply have to start, and everyone at Elland Road knows that – maybe not Bielsa.

Adam Forshaw is facing calls to start after two years in and out of contention, and it would be a major moment for him and his recovery.

The Whites rarely tend to win when Phillips isn’t starting, and whether it is Forshaw or Pascal Struijk given the nod in holding midfield – they will need to give a huge performance with the Yorkshire Pirlo watching on from the stands.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay has shared a major Adam Forshaw update ahead of the Whites’ clash against Wolves this afternoon
