Junior Firpo twist emerges ahead of Leeds United v Plymouth with new footage

Leeds United have a huge chance to win the Championship title this afternoon with a clash against Plymouth, but they may have to do it without Junior Firpo.

Daniel Farke is 90 minutes away from winning the Championship with Leeds, with the Whites just one win away from the 100-points club.

With promotion already sealed, most of the pressure is off their shoulders, though the title will still be something in their sights.

However, if that is to be achieved, Farke may have to change an integral part of his team, after footage was shared at Home Park.

Firpo nowhere to be seen ahead of Plymouth v Leeds

Leeds United are certainly the favourites for their encounter with Plymouth, which would, in turn, see them lift the Championship trophy, but they look as though they will have to do it without Firpo.

The left-back has been a shining star for the Whites this season, but in footage shared by Joe Donnohue ahead of the game at Home Park, Firpo is nowhere to be seen.

Having picked up a recent knock, Firpo was a doubt for Leeds, and those fears appear to have come to fruition.

Fortunately for the Whites, they have several options to cover in that area of the squad, though it will limit the creativity they can find down the left flank if he is to be absent.

Leeds must remain focused despite promotion

At the start of the season, promotion was the only acceptable outcome for Leeds, and now that has been achieved, there is the risk of complacency.

However, with Burnley breathing down their necks, Leeds need to remain focused on the task at hand and ensure they don’t let any of that slip in against Argyle this afternoon.

To win the Championship title would be another milestone to add to what has been a very fruitful campaign, though only a win is likely to be enough to seal that, with Burnley undoubtedly raring to go in their clash.
