‘Jokers’, ‘Unfair’ – These Leeds fans fume at FA over Kiko Casilla hearing

Casilla’s FA hearing was finally conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, with the Leeds United goalkeeper’s fate being decided by a three-man panel.

It’s taken an extraordinarily long time for the case to be heard after the alleged incident took place in the Championship game against Charlton in September.

BBC journalist Adam Pope had said that he was expecting the outcome on Thursday, which would have given Leeds plenty of time to assess the fallout before the game against Reading on Saturday.

However, it’s now mid-morning on Friday and there’s still been no word from the FA.

There is a window open after the outcome for Casilla to appeal but we don’t know if that’s the way the hearing has gone or if Leeds would contest it or accept the ban and move on.

Marcelo Bielsa has said that 19-year-old Illan Meslier is ready to step up if required but all of this uncertainty can’t be good for Leeds ahead of a crunch Championship game.

That’s what plenty of Leeds fans are pointing out with one saying that FA was “leaving it as late as possible to dent our preparations for tomorrow. Jokers.”

Another fan said that the one thing he had thought was well run about the case was that the outcome would be delivered on Thursday well ahead of Saturday’s game.

That’s not happened and these Leeds fans aren’t happy…
