Joe Gelhardt squad update shared at Elland Road ahead of Leeds United v Norwich City
Joe Gelhardt has arrived at Elland Road with Daniel Farke’s squad ahead of Leeds United v Norwich City after missing the first leg.
The Whites played out a 0-0 stalemate at Carrow Road, bringing back a decent scoreline to Elland Road in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg.
The 22-year-old striker, who has made just 10 Championship appearances this season, missed out on the reverse fixture but looks set to be part of the side to face the Canaries at home.
Adam Pope took to X on Thursday (16 May), writing: “Looks like same squad plus Gelhardt here tonight.”

Daniel Farke has been struggling for strikers in recent weeks, especially with Patrick Bamford’s injury issues, and Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter failing to hit the back of the net.
Despite this, Gelhardt will unlikely make the starting XI for the crucial clash against the Canaries, with Rutter and Piroe more likely to be trusted in the final third.
Farke will be hoping that his side can secure their spot in the play-off final at Wembley, with Southampton and West Brom set to face off against each other on the opposite side of the draw.
Of course, having missed out on automatic promotion to the Premier League, with Leicester City and Ipswich Town finishing in the top two, the Leeds players will be disappointed.
But they have the power to push the Whites back to the Premier League following an extremely exciting season in the Championship. Welcoming Norwich to Elland Road will be seen as key to this feat.
Gelhardt could still play a key role, coming off the bench if Leeds are desperately in need of goals. However, it is unlikely to see him start.
In other Leeds United news, a Farke sack verdict has been shared after an “unfathomable” development.
