JKA on bench, Gjanni dropped, Poveda & Pontus out – Confirmed Leeds & Brentford starting XIs

Marcelo Bielsa has named his Leeds United starting XI for the game against Brentford at Griffin Park tonight.

Jean-Kevin Augustin makes the bench again after coming on for 20 minutes in the game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Patrick Bamford will be tasked with leading the line after blanking against Wigan and Forest – both games that Leeds would go on to lose to nil.

The only change is Kalvin Phillips in for Gjanni Alioski, which will see Stuart Dallas at left-back.

The team was announced on the official Leeds United Twitter page ahead of the 7.45pm kick-off.

It’s a massive game for Leeds tonight. A defeat would see them out of the top two and could see them drop to as far as fifth depending on other results.

A win would see them halt their run of bad form and pick up three points against a promotion rival.

A win will be even sweeter for Leeds and their fans after Brentford’s boss Thomas Frank said that Griffin Park was the worst place Leeds could travel to at the moment given their poor form.

For Brentford, former Leeds player Pontus Jansson has failed to recover in time after missing the last few league games through injury.

They have named an unchanged 18 for the game.

The game is live on the Sky Sports red button and kicks off at 7.45pm.
