Jeff Stelling predicts Leeds United clash v Wolves
Jeff Stelling has backed Leeds United to end Wolves’ winning run by beating the Midlands club at Elland Road on Saturday.
Bruno Lage’s men have won their last three Premier League fixtures while the Whites have just one win in their first eight top-flight games.
After losing in such a disappointing manner versus Southampton last week, Sky Sports host Stelling has predicted Marcelo Bielsa’s men will overcome that by beating Wolves 1-0 in West Yorkshire.
Stelling’s prediction appeared on the Super6 website on Thursday.
Let’s hope he’s right
We’ll take 1-0.
Leeds have struggled to keep clean sheets this season due to the inconsistent team selection that Bielsa has had to deal with.
Injuries have caused major issues and Bielsa is still going to be without Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips this weekend.
Raphinha is, at least, back and available to play but the in-form Brazilian cannot do it all by himself.
Our injury updates have been grim this season.
It’s hard to remember the last time Bielsa had a fully fit and available squad to choose from but it’s even worse in the fact that such key players are ruled out right now.
It’s good to have Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper getting some consistent game-time next to each other but with Phillips and Ayling out, that doesn’t count for a whole lot as the entire defensive unit is being thrown into doubt.
if we’re honest, we’re worried about this game against a Wolves team that has four wins in five Premier League games.
In other Leeds United news, Raphinha’s shared a one-word update that causes concern on Twitter and leads to Phil Hay replying.
