Jayden Bogle shocking in Leeds United v Sunderland as Daniel Farke must take call

Daniel Farke is left with no choice but to take Jayden Bogle off at half-time in the Leeds United v Sunderland clash.

The Whites travelled to the Stadium of Light on Friday, 4 October, with the score 1-1 at the break.

Chris Rigg opened the scoring for the hosts before Joel Piroe scored an equaliser in the 22nd minute of the contest.

While many Leeds players could be blamed for the opening goal bar Illan Meslier who made a splendid save, Bogle’s positioning was clearly suspect.

One might argue that had Junior Firpo closed in sooner, the attack would not have happened but the players need to react to what happens rather than ball-watching.

Bogle, who was near the far post, instead of springing into action and trying to prevent Dennis Cirkin from having a crack at goal.

Cirkin, the Sunderland left-back, found himself in acres of space with the 24-year-old Whites right-back not keeping his eyes on him.

Even apart from that, the Englishman has offered little going forward for Farke’s side and according to Sofascore has a zero per cent accuracy with his crosses and the same success rate with his aerial duels.

With Sam Byram on the bench, it makes sense to bring him on at the break as he would certainly offer more than Bogle.
