Javi Gracia shares Max Wober update ahead of Leeds United Premier League clash v Liverpool
Javi Gracia has shared a Leeds United injury update ahead of the Whites’ Premier League clash against Liverpool on Monday evening.
Leeds are looking to bounce back after their embarrassing home loss to Crystal Palace and will be without Stuart Dallas and Tyler Adams (Premier injuries).
However, the Spaniard has shared an update on Max Wober after the Austrian sustained a hamstring injury whilst on international duty.
“I don’t know yet [Wober availability]. He is training some days with the team, but we have two days more before the game and it’s something we have to see,” said Gracia (Beren Cross, Twitter, 14 April)
Bounce back
It’s certainly going to be a tough ask for Leeds to bounce back against Liverpool. The Reds are coming off of an impressive draw against Arsenal; a match they probably should have won. Furthermore, Jurgen Klopp has been boosted by the return of Luiz Diaz, who is likely to be on the bench at Elland Road.
The Colombian has been out of action for the majority of the 2022/23 season and has been sorely missed. For Gracia, it’s absolutely essential the Leeds boss sparks a reaction out of his players. The defeat to Crystal Palace will be a turning point.

It either sparks the Whites into life, or they struggle to get over the hammering to Roy Hodgson’s men. It’s imperative that Leeds aren’t so gung-ho in their approach from the outset. Liverpool have immense quality on the break and will punish if given the chance.
Potentially sitting back and absorbing pressure is the route to go down with a point being a superb result given the current circumstances.
