Jamie O’Hara wowed ahead of Leeds United v West Brom showdown
Jamie O’Hara can’t believe the strength of the schedule facing Leeds United following their defeat to Middlesbrough on Wednesday 14 August.
Leeds were embarrassed by Boro in the EFL Cup, crashing out in a 3-0 loss, with Danny Mills noting just how bad they looked defensively (talkSPORT).
In the wake of that result, they now have another tough game at West Brom to prepare for – and O’Hara noted just how hard the Championship can be.
Speaking live on talkSPORT on 14 August, as shared on YouTube, Jason Cundy said: “West Brom away, 12.30 kick-off on Saturday.”
O’Hara simply replied: “Wow, that’s a biggie. The Championship is relentless, isn’t it? You’re thinking who have we got next Saturday – West Brom.”
Leeds United get ready for war
This start to the campaign hasn’t quite gone to plan for Daniel Farke.
Yes, he’s still making adjustments to the squad off the pitch, but that’s still no excuse. This is a squad tipped for promotion and thus far they’ve lost convincingly to Middlesbrough and just about salvaged a draw against newly-promoted Portsmouth.
When it comes to West Brom, there’s another tough test that lies ahead. The Baggies always seem to be there or thereabouts in the top six hunt, gaining a reputation for being a yo-yo team in the last few decades.

While they may have been dumped out of the cup by Fleetwood, they impressed in a big way against QPR. On the opening weekend of the Championship season, they cruised to a 3-1 win with Josh Maja netting a hat-trick.
Still, if Leeds are playing to the best of their ability, they should see this as a winnable fixture.
