Jamie O’Hara says one thing ‘amazing’ about Leeds, picks out one player from win v Millwall
talkSPORT pundit Jamie O’Hara has said that Leeds United are the best team in the league and said it was ‘amazing’ that they can maintain their style of football in the Championship.
Leeds thrilled their fans with a 3-2 win against Millwall after going 2-0 down in the first half.
With West Brom losing, the win put Leeds back on top of the Championship and O’Hara thinks they will definitely get promoted.
Talking on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show (talkSPORT, Wednesday, 7am), O’Hara was asked if Leeds would finally get back to the Premier League this season.
“Oh yeah, for sure,” O’Hara said. “For me they’re the best team in the league. They’ve got a brilliant manager, this is the season for them.
“It will be hard, every game in the Championship is tough. You’ve seen anyone can beat anyone, but Leeds have got more than enough. Millwall are a good team, they’ve been great since Rowett took over.”
Asked if he was a fan of Marcelo Bielsa, O’Hara said, “I like him. You see the style of play he wants to play and it’s not easy to do that in the Championship.
“To have that style of football and keep doing it is amazing. It’s good to see Bamford score some goals again, too, fair play to him. That’s a big game for Leeds.”
It was a big game. After a run of just one win in eight, and that a crazy 5-4 win against Birmingham, it was really important to get some points on the board.
A defeat would have seen Nottingham Forest just one point behind. As it is, Leeds have got a four-point buffer to third and they’re two points ahead of West Brom in second.
Another win against Wigan at Elland Road on Saturday and the push for promotion will be right back on track.
