Jamie O'Hara predicts Leeds United outcome v Wolves in Premier League opener
Jamie O’Hara has backed Wolves to beat Leeds United 2-1 and believes both teams will struggle in the upcoming Premier League season.
Leeds head into the season opener with six new senior signings in their ranks and are coming off the back of a 6-2 preseason victory against Cagliari.
However, O’Hara doesn’t hold out much hope for both sides and has predicted a narrow win for his former club Wolves.
Talking on talkSPORT EDGE Friday 5 August, he said: “I don’t rate either of them, they will both struggle.
“I think Wolves win this game because Leeds are going to struggle.
“I’ll go 2-1 to Wolves.”
This can’t really come as much of a shock to see a talkSPORT pundit predict Leeds to lose their opening match of the season.
It seems the likes of O’Hara and Gabby Agbonlahor would even expect Leeds to lose if they were one of the best teams in the league.
The facts are that Leeds are heading into the new season as well prepared as they possibly could be after losing Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha.
Jesse Marsch has made some astute signings that has put Leeds in a far better position than when they finished last season.
Compared to the majority of the Premier League, Leeds have been one of the busiest clubs and of course not every transfer will work out, but there is a very good chance that the likes of Brenden Aaronson and Marc Roca could go on to be great assets for the Whites.
A lot of pundits are writing off Leeds purely based on losing their two-star men.
It’s time for the media to start analysing the incomings that have occurred in West Yorkshire and not dwell on the past.
In other Leeds United news, this Leeds star has taken Marsch’s decision personally as he looks to quit Elland Road this summer.
