'It's what Leeds do' - Sky pundit gushes about big moment v Huddersfield

We’ve seen it many times before. Leeds putting a game to bed late in the second half with a devastating counter-attack.

It happened once again in the 2-0 victory against Huddersfield Town on Saturday. Marcelo Bielsa’s men broke at pace, and it was Jack Harrison who whipped a sublime ball to the back post for Pablo Hernandez to seal all three points.

Chris Powell couldn’t help but heap praise on the Whites after the game, claiming that Marcelo Bielsa’s men are superb as soon as the ball breaks out of defence.

“This is what they’re good at,” Powell said on Sky Sports (07/12 2:42 pm)

“They will defend the first ball, but as soon as it comes out in the middle of the park, they pick it up, they have runners – already you can see there’s five runners.

“It’s a great ball in by Jack Harrison. It’s what Leeds do.”

We as Leeds fans have been treated to that on many occasions this season already, but Powell appears to have enjoyed what he was watching at the John Smiths Stadium.

No matter who is on the pitch, the Whites are capable of punishing any side on the counter-attack.

Eddie Nketiah had replaced Patrick Bamford, but it still didn’t disrupt the flow of the side in the final third, which is a credit to Leeds.

He’ll have been disappointed to see the ball float over his head and onto Hernandez’, but it was a devastating move from Leeds and ultimately fatal for Huddersfield.
