Leeds United announced that the winner of October’s Utilita Football Goal of the Month is Patrick Bamford’s thriller against Aston Villa.

The really good thing about that is it gives us a chance to watch it again… and again… and again. It really is a thing of beauty and plenty of Leed fans queued up to praise the striker on Twitter.

Bamford scored his first Premier League hat-trick in the match. The first was a poacher’s goal that came after Rodrigo’s shot/cross was palmed out by the goalkeeper.

The second was a fantastic shot from outside the area that’s been likened to a Cristiano Ronaldo free-kick – but from open play.

The third was the best of them all. Bamford picked up the ball in the Villa penalty area, surrounded by four defenders and with seemingly nowhere to go.

Bamford seemed to slow down time and danced his way into a semi-shooting position before curling a delicate shot into the corner of the net.

It was one of the best team goals we’ve seen, complete with a fantastic Rodrigo pass, and is a very worth winner of the Goal of the Month award.

Here it is again in all of its glory.

Bamford made the headlines after his 19-minute hat-trick but lost his way a bit in the 4-1 defeat against Leciester on Monday.

We’re hoping he gets his bid for the golden boot award back on track on Saturday against Crystal Palace.
