'Incredible' - Robbie Savage slams 'Shocking' decision in Leeds win v Burnley
Robbie Savage has been left bemused by the “shocking” decision to disallow a Burnley goal in the first-half against Leeds United.
After the Whites took the lead through a Patrick Bamford penalty, the Clarets appeared to have equalised when Ashley Barnes struck.
The goal was disallowed by Rob Jones, who had adjudged Ben Mee to have fouled Illan Meslier just beforehand.
Savage took to his personal Twitter account during the game, claiming it was an “incredible decision” to disallow the away side’s effort.
“Wow incredible decision,” he wrote. “Shocking decision from the referee.”

It wasn’t a comfortable afternoon at all for Meslier.
The young Frenchman didn’t assert himself massively once but wasn’t tested as much as he has been in games this season to say how physical Burnley can be.
It was a case of punch rather than catch after this decision, and he did that well enough to get rid of the danger when needed.
The decision was checked by VAR, and they decided that it wasn’t a clear and obvious error so it can’t have been that shocking as Savage suggested.
Jones had blown his whistle before the ball hit the net, so it would never have counted anyway, but some did suggest that it was actually a penalty for Meslier’s contact on Mee.
It finished 1-0, and Sean Dyche was fuming, but the Whites will take these three points and run into the West Brom game on Tuesday – it’s about time we got one of these decisions.
