‘He’s A Monster’ – Sky Sports pundit gushes over Leeds United star Georginio Rutter live on air v Preston North End
Georginio Rutter has been labelled a “monster” by Sky Sports commentator Lee Hendrie after his form for Leeds United this season.
The French youngster is having his breakout season at Elland Road having scored four goals and registered nine assists in the Championship for the Whites this season, the most of any player in the division.
And after being told by Rob Palmer while doing commentary on Sky Sports (26 December, 12:37pm) of his stats, Hendrie was quick to praise him and the rest of the Leeds attack for their performances this season under Daniel Farke.

“Leeds are playing so well,” he said. “There’s a real chemistry in that forward line.
“He’s a monster, he really is. Because he’s capable of scoring goals but he’s got pace either side, Summerville, James, and Rutter certainly add to the equation.
“It must be brilliant to have that little bit of fluidity in the forward line for Leeds.”
Sensational
When Leeds splashed a record-breaking sum to sign Rutter in January of 2023, people weren’t really sure what to expect from him.
It was no shock when he was linked with an exit in the summer then after failing to make any sort of impact in the very limited opportunities that he had, but it was also not a surprise when Farke opted to keep hold of him.

He has paid the manager’s faith back massively this season with some fantastic performances, and is firmly in the conversation alongside Crysencio Summerville, Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon as the player of the season.
His ability to drift in and out of games but still have match-winning contributions is something that the best players all possess and that is a positive for Leeds.
Now he needs to just find a bit more consistency to his game to go up to the next level but he’s young and has time on his side, and the fans at Elland Road are all behind him.
In other Leeds news, Farke to hold talks with loanee about early termination and January return.
