Hernandez out, Costa in v Charlton
Helder Costa is finally set to get his first Championship start on Saturday in the game against Charlton.
That’s the good news – we’ve been wanting Costa to start for a few weeks now.
The bad news is that it’s because of an injury to Pablo Hernandez.
Marcelo Bielsa confirmed the news in his pre-match press conference on Thursday and said that Hernandez had been feeling the problem in the warm-up ahead of the game against Derby.
Hernandez seemed out of sorts in that game and this would explain it. Bielsa said he hasn’t recovered to play on Saturday and at 34 it’s important that Leeds look after him.
Bielsa also confirmed that Adam Forshaw should be in the squad on Saturday and if he is we think he’ll come straight back into the side.
Jamie Shackleton has looked good in his two outings but Forshaw has been a vital part of the Leeds side this season – he’s been much more consistent than he was last season and think he’ll start.
