Hernandez and Forshaw out v West Brom

With Luke Ayling and Tyler Roberts returning for the Under-23s last week, Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa almost had a full squad to choose from the first time since he arrived at Elland Road.

However, Pablo Hernandez was ruled out of the Charlton game and he’s not recovered in time for the West Brom clash tomorrow.

Adam Forshaw made it back onto the bench and came on at half-time but he’s now probably out again for the game on Tuesday.

The team news was posted by Adam Pope from today’s press conference, where Bielsa said that Hernandez should be back for the game against Millwall on Saturday. He was a miss against Charlton, although he’s not been at his best for a few weeks. A fully rested and recovered Hernandez is what Leeds need now.

The Forshaw situation is a bit more puzzling. It sounds like he was played on Saturday before he was fully fit with Bielsa saying he wasn’t over the problem he picked up in the international break.

The fact that he’s not been 100% ruled out, however, means it shouldn’t be that serious.
