Harry Gray stuns MUTV pundit after what he saw in Leeds v Man United – ‘Unbelievable’
Leeds United starlet Harry Gray caught the eye in their pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
The pair of bitter rivals met in Stockholm on Saturday (19 July), as they both ramped up their preparation ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
Gray has been earmarked as a huge talent at Leeds for some time now, and the 16-year-old was introduced by Daniel Farke in the latter stages of their opening pre-season test.
The forward only played a cameo role in the goalless draw, but it was still enough for him to make a big impression.

Ben Thornley branded Gray ‘unbelievable’
Gray recently signed a scholarship with Leeds, which ties him to the West Yorkshire outfit for the next two years at least.
Farke and Co. will have been delighted to have secured the future of one of their most prestigious young talents, especially considering the interest that has been shown in him by the likes of Tottenham.
The youngster has already made his senior debut at the age of 16, and there are high hopes that he could follow in the footsteps of his older brother Archie Gray and great uncle Eddie Gray, to become a star at Elland Road.
The attacker came off the bench late on in the Whites’ goalless pre-season draw on Saturday (19 July), and quickly made an impression, despite having limited opportunity to impact the game.
Gray caught the eye of MUTV pundit Ben Thornley (19 July, 3:44pm), who said: “some football family they’ve got, unbelievable,” as the starlet was preparing to come on.

Gray could be suited to a loan move this season
The fact that Gray is already receiving first-team minutes at Leeds highlights just how talented a player he could become.
Having been a regular in both the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 last term, the next logical step for his development will surely be a loan move to a club in the Football League.
Competition | Apps | Goals |
U18 Premier League | 11 | 8 |
Premier League 2 | 7 | 3 |
Championship | 1 | – |
Total | 19 | 11 |
With the Whites now a top-flight outfit once again, it’s unlikely he will be thrown in at the deep end in 2025/26, but he could seriously benefit from a stint in either League One or League Two instead.
The regular exposure to senior men’s football could help bridge the gap between academy and first-team level for Gray, which would surely stand him in good stead further down the line.
Leeds will be delighted to have kept hold of the striker for the next stage of his development at least, but they need to ensure that they provide him with the right opportunities at the right times in order for him to progress.
