Match of the Day 2 pundit Darren Fletcher picked out Stuart Dallas as putting in an “unbelievable man of the match performance” in the Leeds United win against Sheffield United.
Leeds picked up the three points at Bramall Lane in an evenly-matched game, with Patrick Bamford getting the goal late in the second half.
Illan Meslier was awarded the man of the match by the BT Sport pundits, but Fletcher though Dallas was “fantastic” and added, “he was everywhere.”
Talking on Match of the Day 2 (BBC1, Sunday, 10.30pm), Fletcher said, “There was nothing between the teams in the first half. Second half he [Dallas] started drifting wide into the normal left-back position.
“His performance was fantastic. They understand moments in the game when they need to switch from a back three to a four.
“He was a threat all afternoon, he was everywhere. Great energy, great speed, great intensity.
“He was the most influential player on the pitch. Tactically he was perfect. He won tackles, he was a goal threat, it was an unbelievable man of the match performance.
“To be tactically that versatile is perfect for Bielsa. I can’t speak highly enough of his performance.”
Day of the Dallas
Dallas has come in for some criticism from the left-back position this season, with Luke Ayling proving more of a threat going forward.
However, Dallas came into his own on Sunday and showed why he’s such an important player for Bielsa.
He should have got a goal but he was a constant menace, popping up everywhere in a tireless display and one that shows that when it clicks, there’s no player that’s more influential for Leeds.
His touch maps shows that he was literally everywhere on the pitch at Bramall Lane.

Chris Wilder might have said that Sheffield United should have won it, but if he watches the game back he should accept that he was undone by a better manager and by better tactics on the pitch.
Leeds deserved the three points and Stuart Dallas deserved the plaudits.
