Glen Kamara and Daniel James tipped to be axed for Leeds United v Blackburn

Daniel James and Glen Kamara are set to be axed from Daniel Farke’s from the Leeds United XI for their clash with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post. )

The Whites have a chance to move to the top of the Championship with a win at Elland Road in the lunchtime kick-off, as they look to capitalise on another Leicester defeat against Plymouth on Friday (12 April)

Farke has confirmed he has a fully-fit squad to choose from apart from Jamie Shackleton and Pascal Struijk, and the Yorkshire Evening Post wrote (13 April) that Wilfried Gnonto and Connor Roberts could be set for starts after their recent injury problems.

Roberts is tipped to come in at right-back, which would allow Archie Gray to move into midfield in place of Finland international Glen Kamara, while Gnonto could take back his place on the right wing ahead of Wales star Daniel James.

Daniel Farke to shuffle the Leeds United team v Blackburn?

Leeds’ performances in recent weeks have been a bit of a concern, with just one win in four games after they managed to close the gap on Leicester at the top.

That has seen them drop into third place but there is just one point between the top three and a win now will be a huge boost to the team’s chances of automatic promotion.

Farke has often gone with his preferred lineup and doesn’t like to change things too often without reason, but with results faltering and not much time left he has to switch things up.

Gnonto and Roberts were both in good form before the international break where they suffered injuries, and while Kamara and James have been important members of the squad they have looked more tired and have struggled in recent weeks.

These would be positive changes for the team and boost competition across the squad too, which can only be a good thing in such a must-win game.
