Georginio Rutter could play for Leeds United under-21s v Aston Villa on Monday

Leeds United attacker Georginio Rutter could be involved for the under-21s on Monday 08 May as they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League 2 play-offs.

The club-record signing has not yet broken through to make a significant impact in the first-team since his January arrival from Hoffenheim, with cameo appearances few and far between.

Sam Allardyce is looking to get the Whites out of Premier League relegation danger, and could watch Rutter this evening as he tries to make himself the answer.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Joe Donnohue shared the latest news on his personal Twitter account ahead of the game, with a warning to watch this space.

“Georginio Rutter potentially involved for the 21s tonight, which would make it his second PL2 appearance, both against Villa at Elland Road.”

Chance.

This is something that Rutter will need to see as a positive, despite his lack of chance in the Premier League under numerous managers.

Is the young French attacker any worst than we have right now? Looking at Patrick Bamford and his form, he must be doing something really bad in training to not even get a sniff.

Rodrigo is another ahead of him, but at least we can see evidence of the Spaniard actually being a real threat and scoring goals when he is on the pitch.

Rutter may yet get a chance to shine in the final three games of the Premier League season as we look to stay in the division, but he will need to prove it tonight if he is selected.

The Whites do not need players for the future with huge potential right now, they need those who will deliver instantly when given the chance, something the striker will be craving.
