Georginio Rutter and Karl Darlow spotted with Leeds United squad for Huddersfield clash

Georginio Rutter and Karl Darlow have been spotted arriving with the Leeds United squad for the Championship clash with Huddersfield on Saturday.

Writing on his personal Twitter account (2 March), journalist Joe Donnohue posted footage of the squad arriving at the John Smith Stadium for their lunchtime clash.

Rutter and Darlow have both been injured in recent times, but Daniel Farke has made the decision to bring them into the fold once again as they look to close the gap on Leicester at the top of the table once again.

Excellent news for Leeds United

Leeds have had some pretty good luck with injuries this season, especially in attacking areas, with key players fit for a long time.

Rutter’s absence was strongly felt during the midweek defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup, with his creativity and skill something that the rest of the squad will always struggle to replicate.

So coming back for a derby game in a major Championship clash can only be good news, and if he can hit the form he was before the problem emerged then he will have a major role in the result on Saturday afternoon.

As for Darlow, he has been missing for a while after suffering a finger injury while filling in for Illan Meslier earlier this season but having him back is a good thing.

With Kristoffer Klaesson admirably filling in during his absence, it’s a good thing to have Darlow’s experience available once again even as a substitute and now Leeds are stronger for it.
