Forshaw spotted back in Leeds training
Adam Forshaw has been spotted back in training for Leeds United and fans will be absolutely thrilled for him.
Forshaw has been out since the start of last season with a hip injury that’s been seemingly impossible for him to shake.
He was only initially mean to be out for a game or two but the situation got much more serious and he eventually had to have surgery.
After targeting a return for pre-season ahead of the Premier League, Forshaw has suffered setbacks but now, finally, looks ready to make a pitch for his top-flight bow with Leeds.
Eagle-eyed Leeds fans spotted Forshaw walking behind Gaetano Berardi in the latest training video ahead of the game against Fulham.
You can watch the full video at LUTV.
There was no mention of Forshaw in Bielsa’s pre-match press conference so this has come as a real surprise to us.
Forshaw hasn’t played since September 2019 and there are plenty of Leeds fans who had given up on seeing him again.
The injury has been a massive blow for player and club.
Forshaw was in top form when he was injured and he’s one of the few from the Championship-winning squad with Premier League experience.
He last played in the top-flight in the 16-17 season with Middlesbrough.
There’s absolutely zero chance that Forshaw will be involved on Friday night. He’ll have to come through some serious Under-23s action first, and we doubt that will happen for a while.
However, just seeing him back at Thorp Arch is a massive buzz and we imagine the same goes for Forshaw himself.
The spot has left Leeds fans excited and we all know how Leeds could do with him back, with Mateusz Klich out on his feet and very few options in the middle.
