Former player sends instant reply to Jesse Marsch on Twitter after Leeds United v Arsenal
Curtis Woodhouse tells Jesse Marsch that Leeds United should be in the top five in the Premier League based on their performances this season.
Marsch took to Twitter to address the defeat against Arsenal as Leeds were the better team but still ended up losing it 1-0.
Woodhouse, a former Premier League player turned professional boxer believes that Leeds should have seven points more than they do at this stage of the season.
He wrote on Twitter, “I think Leeds should have 7 more points on performances. Would put you 5th! Fine lines gaffa.”
Leeds being fifth in the table is a tad generous but we’ll take it as they have been unlucky in a few games this season.
If the xG is to be considered for the Arsenal clash, the wrong team ended up with three points and a win would’ve taken Marsch’s side up the table.
However, as this is a results business, Leeds now find themselves in 15th place with the chance of them being in the relegation zone by the end of the week.
They take on a struggling Leicester side and a loss in that game coupled with good results for Aston Villa, Wolves and Southampton could see them in 18th place.
That clearly will not be a good reflection of the performances this season as clear progress has been seen under the American.
Hopefully, they win a couple of games in the next few days and that should take them further away from the dreaded drop zone.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
