Farke may have got it all wrong with unexpected Leeds United decision v Oxford United
Daniel Farke has made a bold call to start Manor Solomon on the left wing against Oxford United at Elland Road on Saturday.
Wilfried Gnonto has been rested and Largie Ramazani was also in consideration for a starting role on the left flank but the Israel international has been given the nod on 21 December.
The Tottenham loanee has two goals and one assist in 14 Championship appearances so far this season.
The German may have got it all wrong with his side potentially going top of the table with a win if Sheffield United lose at Cardiff.
Leeds United need to win
There is no doubt about the importance of this fixture in the Whites’ season, it is a must-win.
The Elland Road club is the best team in the league at home this season and that needs to continue on Saturday (21 December).
Farke’s side cannot afford to drop points against a team in the relegation zone given the razor-close promotion battle in the division.

Burnley, Sunderland and Blackburn are all within five points of Farke’s team and Middlesbrough are a further eight points back with former Leeds man Jonny Howson warning that they can catch up.
Gnonto and Ramazani represent safer options on the left-flank with the Italian having scored four goals and notched five assists and the Belgian three goals and one assist.
It may not prove to be too much a risk given Oxford’s lowly league position but it could end up backfiring if Solomon does not hit the ground running in the contest.
In other Leeds news, another Leeds star was not spotted with the squad when they arrived for the match.
