Farke makes ‘huge’ Aaronson gamble – Leeds United confirmed XI v Norwich
Daniel Farke has made zero changes to his Leeds United starting lineup to face Norwich City at Elland Road.
The Whites will host the 12th-place Championship outfit on Wednesday evening (22 January), with Farke eager to return to the league summit after Sheffield United claimed top spot on Tuesday (21 January).
However, the German is taking a huge gamble in his starting lineup, confirmed via X, with Manor Solomon and Brenden Aaronson retaining their place in the side.
Farke confirmed on Monday that the pair were doubtful to feature against Norwich but has decided against rotating his squad to return atop the Championship summit.
Leeds United favourites to return to the top of the Championship
The Whites have traded places several times with Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United this term, which will likely remain the case until the end of the season.
Although both would guarantee automatic Premier League promotion with a top-two finish, bragging rights are on the line in the race for the title.
Leeds boast the best home record in the second tier this season, and despite suffering setbacks along the way, particularly the 3-3 draw against Hull City (4 January), in which they surrendered a two-goal lead in the final 10 minutes, they are well on track to achieve their goals this year.
However, Norwich are no pushovers – Johannes Thorup has won three of his last five Championship outings, and with only a six-point gap to the playoff spots, Norwich still has all to play for heading into the second half of the season.

The Whites have a tricky schedule ahead and will travel to fellow promotion hopefuls Burnley on Monday (27 January). Should Leeds lose to Norwich and Burnley beat Plymouth Argyle, the sides could face off on level points.
Leeds supporters hope Farke has gotten his team selection right on the nose to take on Norwich.
