Fan photo shows Elland Road barricaded off ahead of Leeds clash v Charlton
Leeds United play their final game of the season against Charlton tonight at Elland Road and will be awarded the Championship trophy after the game.
Heady times for Leeds United fans but the club has sent out another message urging fans to stay at home and watch the game on LUTV.
The trophy ceremony will be live on LUFC and on Sky Sports and that’s the only way to watch the game and see Leeds handed the silverware.
However, the club and authorities are obviously expecting fans to head to the stadium tonight and have taken preventative action.
One Leeds fan posted some photos of Elland Road ahead of the game, which shows barricades up and a “Road Closed” sign.

So far, the Leeds authorities haven’t gone in as heavy-handed as they have in Liverpool ahead of their Premier League trophy presentation.
In Merseyside, police have said that Liverpool fans congregating at Anfield will be arrested [as reported by Jim White on talkSPORT, 10am].
That seems really over-the-top, although like Leeds, Liverpool fans left the streets in a mess after celebrating their huge win.
Social distancing measures are still in place and it’s obviously important that fans behave and one Leed fan summed it up very well on Twitter.
Marcelo Bielsa said he appreciated it was hard for Leeds fans after waiting so long for the trophy.
However, the best advice we can give is to stay away from Elland Road and wait for fans to be let back into stadiums.
