Exclusive: Paul Robinson drools over Leeds ace who is ‘twice the player he was last season’

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has raved about the performance of Jack Harrison in the 4-0 win against Hull on Saturday.

He said he was the best Leeds United player on the pitch by a mile and that he’s really pushed on from last season.

In fact, Robinson said Harrison is “twice the player that he was last season” and is helping to push his side towards automatic promotion.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “I thought Jack Harrison was brilliant on Saturday. I thought he was man of the match by a long way. I don’t know how Sky managed to give it to Klich.

“Jack Harrison was the best player on the pitch by a mile. The only thing he didn’t do was score but he hit every piece of metal on the pitch I think.

“He caused Hull so many problems, his effort, his enthusiasm, he had the whole of the flank to patrol in the second half, his defending capabilities were in evidence.

“He just keeps on getting better and better. I think he’s twice the player that he was last season.

“Coming back this season he’s improved no end and he has been one of the most impressive performers for Leeds this season by far.”

There’s a feeling that Harrison is blossoming just at the right time.

Bielsa has had to be patient with him and too often he seems to lack the final ball or finish, but he showed on Saturday what he’s capable of.

Hull just couldn’t live with him and more performances at that level will definitely inspire Leeds back to the Premier League.

The £8m option to buy is looking like a real steal now.
