‘Exceptional’ – Huddersfield defender shares what makes Leeds best in the C’Ship

Huddersfield Town defender Harry Toffolo has admitted that Leeds United are the best team in the Championship after their 2-0 win on Saturday.

Goals from Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling handed the Whites all three points, but it could have been more on a straightforward afternoon.

Toffolo claimed that the movement in the attacking third was something he hadn’t seen in the Championship since he joined from Lincoln, and it suffocated the away side at Elland Road.

Toffolo run out of superlatives to describe the Whites, as they strolled back to the top of the Championship with the three points.

“I thought Leeds were exceptional, the movement of the players was the best I’ve come across in the league so far and what I’ve seen,” he told Leeds Live.

“We can take a lot of learning today, they’re a top side and in my opinion the best in the league. We can take a lot of learning from that.

“That was the most suffocated a team has made us and that’s why they’re up there. It’s a fair reflection of the league, they deserve to be up there. They have a fantastic manager and the players they had out there were top class.”

That is all credit to Marcelo Bielsa. The South American has transformed the club from top to bottom in his two years, especially the players.

Bielsa inherited a squad that was average at best and underperforming, and now with limited additions, they are on the verge of promotion once again and are being tipped to succeed in the top-flight.

Toffolo and Huddersfield simply couldn’t deal with the Whites when they were on top form on Saturday, and the Terriers were blown away in West Yorkshire.
