EFL confirms latest Coronavirus test results from Championship
The EFL has delivered good news for Leeds United today with the latest round of Coronavirus testing.
From over 3,000 tests for players and staff, across all 24 clubs, there have been zero positive results.
The period covers the last week and it’s the second week in a row that no positive results have been recorded.
EFL and Premier League get it right
We’re only just two weeks away from the end of the season and it seems that both the EFL and the Premier League have got it absolutely spot on with timing.
There were a few scattered positive results earlier but they have been completely eliminated.
It also shows that people calling for the season to be null & void got it all wrong and were perhaps acting out of self-interest rather than real concern for players’ welfare.
It now seems almost certain that the 19/20 seasons will finish on the pitch in the Premier League and the Championship and that three clubs will go up and three come down from the top flight.
The bad news is that we’re not anywhere near more certain that Leeds will be one of those sides.
Brentford are the fly in the ointment at the moment after winning all five of their games since the restart.
They’re hanging on the coattails of Leeds who play Stoke on Thursday and West Brom who meet Derby in a huge clash later on today.
