Early Leeds United team news v Arsenal - Six players ruled out for Jesse Marsch

Leeds United will be without six senior players when they face Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday [8 May], according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.

Via his Premier Injuries website, Dinnery says that Liam Cooper and Patrick Bamford are “ruled out” of the game against Arsenal while Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, Tyler Roberts and Crysensio Summerville will also be missing due to season-ending injuries.

Arsenal, on the other hand, will reportedly be without Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey while ex-Leeds loan star Ben White has a 50 per cent chance of playing.

Fight for our lives

It’s time for Leeds United to dig in and rescue this season because right now, it does look as though we’re favourites to go down.

Arsenal will be fighting tooth and nail to finish in the top-four and qualify for the Champions League.

Leeds, on the other hand, will be fighting for their lives in a bid to avoid a return to the Championship.

Injuries have without doubt played a massive role in a potential demise this season because missing players like Kalvin Phillips and Patrick Bamford for long spells has been a huge issue for the Whites.

Jesse Marsch hasn’t been able to oversee an improvement in the injury situation since taking over the hot seat from Marcelo Bielsa because now, he’s got four players out until next season and another two who are also unavailable going into a big game.

Leeds have just four games to stay up. Everton have five and Burnley also have four but Leeds easily have the toughest fixtures.

And those fixtures are going to be a lot tougher due to the fact that these players are missing.

In other Leeds United news, this player could be out for six months.
