Daniel James leaves Sky Sports pundit amazed with ‘ludicrous’ moment v Sunderland
Daniel James left Andy Hinchliffe in awe after what the Leeds United attacker did in the first half of the encounter with Sunderland.
With the promotion race intensifying, Leeds entered the clash with Sunderland knowing just how important a win would be, while also being fully aware of the task at hand.
James, who has become an integral part of this Leeds team, was involved from the off, causing problems for Dennis Cirkin throughout the dramatic, late 2-1 win with his pace and tenacity.
One moment in particular left Hinchcliffe stunned.
Dan James stuns Andy Hinchcliffe in Leeds v Sunderland
The Welshman continued to showcase everything he is about in the early stages of the game, winning a free kick in a dangerous area after the play appeared to have fizzled out.
A long ball forward saw James make a 30-yard sprint, before being fouled by formerly Leeds-linked Cirkin on the edge of the box, impressing Hinchcliffe with his work rate.
Commentating on Sky Sports Football (17 February, 8:24pm), Hinchcliffe said: “[Jayden] Bogle plays the ball forward, and it’s probably only Daniel James in this division who can get on the end of it.
“The pace is just ludicrous. He can get away from defenders and get on the end of balls that are running out of play. His pace and athleticism is quite incredible.”

Dan James will be key to Leeds United promotion
James, as he did against Sunderland, will cause problems for any team with his pace and directness unable to be matched by any player in the league.
With a remarkable 16 goal contributions already from the Welshman, it seems like only a matter of time until he hits the 20 mark which would be a remarkable achievement for a winger.
Leeds have some crucial fixtures coming up after this remarkable win, with an encounter against Sheffield United closely followed by a clash with West Brom, both of which will paint a clear picture as to how the remainder of the season may pan out for the Whites.
Automatic promotion is still in the hands of Leeds, but with several twists and turns to come along the way, anything can happen.
