Daniel Farke spotted in rage at what Leeds United did v Cardiff
Daniel Farke was seen infuriated with his Leeds United players in the 2-0 win against Cardiff City on Saturday [21 September].
The Whites returned to winning ways at the Cardiff City Stadium courtesy of goals from summer signing Largie Ramazani and Joel Piroe.
Leeds huffed and puffed against ten-men Cardiff with Beren Cross spotting the unflattering scenes of Farke berating his players in the second half before Pascal Struijk’s missed penalty.
Cross wrote for Leeds Live: “[Junior] Firpo caught on the ball. Cardiff break, but they’re offside in the final third. Farke apoplectic with someone in yellow.
“Throwing his arms and bellowing. Seems to point at [Ethan] Ampadu with instructions after he has calmed down.”
Daniel Farke loses his head in Leeds United v Cardiff City
The German is known for his hot-headed temper when things aren’t going in his favour and Junior Firpo and Ethan Ampadu are the latest to feel the wrath of the Leeds boss.
His outburst worked to some extent with Ampadu making an impact moments later, finding Jayden Bogle in the penalty area who won his side a penalty which was subsequently saved by Jak Alnwick denying Strujik.
Firpo however, will be the most relieved man in the Leeds dressing room after his laziness on the ball nearly cost his side the lead and should escape further beratement from Farke with all three points secured in Wales.
The Whites have now moved up to sixth in the Championship table and into the playoff spots but still have some ground to make with rivals West Brom retaining the top spot after their 1-0 win against Plymouth Argyle.
However, Farke is not out of the storm just yet, his frustrations on the sideline echo the thoughts of the supporters after an underwhelming start to the season and he will need to engineer a good run of form with his Leeds side to ease the speculation of his future at Elland Road [Ben Jacobs].
