Daniel Farke sack chant in Plymouth v Leeds United slammed on Sky Sports
Plymouth Argyle fans sang about Daniel Farke being sacked as they faced Leeds United in the Championship on Saturday.
Home Park hosts Farke’s team on 3 May and took the lead in the 18th minute after Sam Byram’s own goal, but Willy Gnonto and Manor Solomon won the tie 2-1 for the visitors.
With the Pilgrims holding on to a one-goal advantage, the home fans started singing about the German manager’s uncertain situation in West Yorkshire.
Farke’s future at Elland Road has been subject to speculation in recent weeks as 49ers Enterprises mull over replacing him after winning Premier League promotion.

Plymouth fans sing Farke to get sacked in the morning at Leeds United
Plymouth fans were heard singing that Farke would get sacked in the morning while their team were up 1-0 at Home Park.
Clinton Morrison seemingly wasn’t impressed with the chants, which he felt were “a bit mean”.

The German manager has done an impressive job at Elland Road this season, winning automatic promotion to the Premier League despite facing several injury issues in his squad.
Speaking on Sky Sports News (3 May, 13:00), Morrison said: “The Plymouth fans are singing you’re getting sacked in the morning, which is a bit mean to be fair.”

49ers should not replace manager at Elland Road
After taking the Whites to the top flight, Farke deserves an opportunity at Elland Road despite his poor record with Norwich in the past.
The West Yorkshire outfit will return to the Premier League after a two-year exile, and the 48-year-old head coach should be given massive credit for achieving the goal.
While the Peacocks were one of the favourites to win automatic promotion, the German manager has brought out the best in players like Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell when they were most needed.
Leeds fans will hope the 49ers invest heavily in their squad in the upcoming transfer window to give the best chance of avoiding immediate relegation.
Southampton and Leicester City have shown that changing managers does little to improve a team’s prospects in the top flight if their squad isn’t good enough.
It’ll undoubtedly be difficult for the Whites to compete with the top teams in the Premier League, but Marcelo Bielsa showed that it was possible with a quality squad.
The West Yorkshire outfit arguably need to bolster their defence and sign a reliable goalscorer next summer before they even think about sacking Farke.
The German manager’s future is one to keep an eye on.
